An Off-Topic Section

I was wondering if we could get an off-topic for anything that isn't Yugioh related. I know Off-Topic sections usually go over really well. You can have posting games or people can start threads about TV shows, etc. I would probably use it to regularly share art, talk about anime, and do some posting games if there was one! I just thought it'd be a fun/nice thing to have especially because once someone gets tested they don't always want to talk Yugioh 24/7 when it comes to threads.

I will have this in consideration, for when the next time we need to do a forum update, which will more then likely be this upcoming Sunday March 11, 2018.

I don't know if it matters to your decision, but I second this notion. It would also help with the activity issues and perhaps get this board more noticed? I know it would be mostly off-topic posts at that point, but the first issue is to get people here at all, then we can work on getting people into Yu-Gi-Oh stuff, right?

I mean people would still come to duel but for people who go on occasional hiatuses it would help them stay engaged in the academy.

Well, yeah, I'm just addressing any concern of a 'busy' off-topic section while the main section isn't busy.

Shizuka has a strong point there, I was literally just thinking that as I was reading down each post here. I am worried that the off-topic section would be a breeding ground for shitposters like on the main menu of Duelingbook. Can't help but think this is a bad idea, but just because I'm the Co-Founder it doesn't mean my opinion outshines everyone else's. This may just be one of those "put it to a vote" scenarios.

You can delete the shitposters and ban them, if they've only registered to shitpost. I mean, let us that want to do this thing shitpost once in a while for fun, yeah?

Who's to say which shitposters are doing it because they joined specifically to do just that, or because they actually want to talk about off topic subjects and just are lightening the mood? Its not like we are going to make a strict rule about keeping to certain topics and at a certain amount of words per message or something. Nonetheless we don't want a whole bunch of people making insult comebacks at each other and cursing every other minute, insulting anything that gets posted.

I've never seen an Off-topic section as a breeding section for shitposters. If someone comes to shitpost they'd do it regardless of there being an Off-topic section or not.

I believe my first thing I said about shitposting was that you could delete posts you think are there just to be antagonizing. If you think it was done to lighten the mood, you obviously don't delete it. At least, that's what I envisioned .
